Southside is a moderate size congregation that has been around for 36 years. It was begun in South St Paul in 1974, then located in Inver Grove Heights for about three years. We came to our present site on Robert Street in Sunfish Lake in 1977. It has been a model of stability as it has maintained healthy congregational life through the various changes in the culture around us.
We have emphasized the teaching of the Word of God with expository preaching, the application of Biblical principles to daily life, and the importance of personal evangelism by challenging people to be witnesses for Jesus Christ daily in the market place. We have maintained a vibrant Awana Club ministry, Sunday Bible classes, world missions focus and enjoyable worship services, all as operating within sound fiscal policy. We have approximately ten acres of land on Robert Street just south of I-494 in the southeast metropolitan area. Our facilities are designed for your comfort and convenience with over fifteen thousand square feet of space. We have ample parking with easy access in a lovely country setting along with handicap parking and accessibility.
We have had three Pastors, with Pastor Brantham having served us since 1984. Our congregation is healthy and thriving as we have people from all over the area that call Southside their church home.
