Ladies' Ministry
The most important element of our ladies' group is friendship - friendship with each other and friendship with God. No one likes to feel lonely and everyone needs a good friend. The ladies meetings are a good place to start. We meet the first Monday of every month and share in a time of Bible study, food & coffee, and a special activity. Regardless of what is planned, there is always plenty of laughter and good times.
Here is a sampling of some of our recent activities:
- We learned hairdos and cuts from our resident beautician
- We learned how to bake a quick, delicious loaf of bread
- We learned to cover baskets to use as gift holders or for decoration
- We had an English tea with lots of tea sets and little goodies
- We made pumpkins and used baskets to make a center piece at Thanksgiving
- We made a lot of fleece baby blankets for the Metro Women's Center
- We have made 25+ baby quilts for the Metro Women's Center
Besides the meetings, the ladies try to help out in the church wherever possible. We set up for banquets, clean the nursery, send flowers to the grieving, take meals to the sick, and more…
